*UPDATED* Make Sure Your Water is Pure with Zero Water - #Review and Short #Giveaway!

How many of you have had problems with your water?  A few years back we lived out in the middle of nowhere and one of the first things we noticed after moving in was the sulfur stench in our well water.  For some reason, the entire area's water supply stunk like rotten eggs and some of the older residents swore by the "health benefits" of it.  I never believed that water that smelled like farts could be good for you and as a matter of fact, a few months after moving in we received a notice from the county that they had found arsenic in our water!  Luckily we had been purchasing gallons of water from the store and since we were renting our landlord installed a reverse osmosis system.  But even after installation I could still smell a faint smell of sulfur and we continued to use bottled water until we moved out.

Have you ever wondered just how clean the water is that you and your family are drinking?  After going through all of that hassle, I've always tried to stay away from tap water all together.  Bottled water can get very expensive so when I learned I would have the opportunity to review the Zero Water Pitcher I was thrilled!
What is Zero Water?
According to their website, "The Zero Water technology was first developed to solve a mother's fatigue from dragging gallons of bottled water jugs home from the grocery store.  A father and son put their respective manufacturing and chemistry backgrounds to use to develop an in-home filtration solution to meet the mother's approval."
"That quest lead them to an in-depth study of the technologies successfully used in industrial, environmental, and even government applications for water filtration.  That, in turn, led them to as the question: Why can't families have the same quality of water derived from those proven technologies?  Only when they tried to answer that question did the father and son team find that home users were being completely neglected by the makers of the sophisticated water filtration technologies."

"Through a great deal of trial and error, a design construct was finally chosen that combined the right sophisticated filtration mediums in the right proportions, in the right sequence, with the right flow to ensure maxium filtration and full use of the superior filter materials.  The underlying hope behind the Zero Water technology was that the in-home drinking water solution that satisfied one family so many years ago could be the solution for many families today that have an even stronger desire and need for in-home filtration to save money, help the environment and provide the very best in water for their families and friends."
My Review
I received a Zero Water 10-cup Pitcher that came with a laboratory-grade water testing meter.  It was very interesting to test our tap water and compare it to a normal reading.  Normal tap water tests at 130 parts per million, our tap water tested 150ppm!  We also tested the water after it went through the filter in the pitcher and just as promised, it came up as 0ppm. We also tested some of the filtered water we put through our Brita filter and it came out at 37ppm.  After putting that water through the Zero Water filter it came out at 0ppm. Our water tasted much cleaner though one thing I noticed was since my family is so used to the way our contaminated water tastes, they felt the clean water tasted "weird" and had almost a slight metallic taste to it.  I didn't taste anything weird however and really enjoy drinking water I know is completely clean.  The one thing that impressed me most about this product is the price!  At only $35 for the 10 cup pitcher, Zero Water makes it affordable to ensure you're giving your children the cleanest water you can.  I highly recommend this product to anyone drinking tap water or anyone looking for an alternative to their current water filtration system.
Shopaholic Rating: 5 out of 5 Shopping Bags - You won't find cleaner water than Zero Water!

  46. I hope you can do something about the background layout of your website. Other than that, your post bring to light alternative ways to purify drinking water without damaging the very source. Thumbs up!
