I have learned a lot since I started blogging about a year ago. A lot of what I've learned is common sense but you'd be very surprised at how many others aren't thinking before they tweet or post online. Please remember - what you post online will stay there. There is no taking it back once the deed is done.
Here is a question for my fellow bloggers: Is it EVER ok to bad mouth a sponsor or follower whether you have a good experience with them or not?
Personally, I've been disrespected, frustrated, called names and none of that has pushed me to stoop to their level and spread nasty things about them over the internet or social media. In my personal opinion, it looks very unprofessional. Most of the problems we face in the "blogesphere" is literal high school drama that isn't worth my time or effort. Remember - No matter what you do in life, someone is going to dislike you for it. Stop worrying about what others say or think about you. You know who you are; no one knows you better than you.
Every blog has it's frustrating followers or irritating sponsor, it's bound to happen. That is why you need to prepare yourself for it. Come up with a pre-written response (written when you're calm) that you can send out when someone is rude to you. That way, you won't write up something when you're angry and risk saying something you regret. Two wrongs just don't make a right.
A good rule of thumb to go by is "If you wouldn't want your grandmother to see it, don't write it or post it online."
What do you think? Do you agree with me or do you feel there IS an appropriate time for you to talk about someone in a negative manner? Let me know, I'm curious to see what ya'll think!
