Labor Day Weekend with Tiger Cubs

One of the adorable lemurs

Good Evening Shopaholics!  How was your Labor Day weekend?  I hope it was fantastic!  I had the incredible opportunity to join Josh at work on Sunday to play with the tiger cubs and watch a couple encounters.  It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I had so much fun looking at all of the animals he's developed a deep relationship with.  From otters to gibbons to tiger cubs, every animal has a unique personality all their own and it's intriguing to watch them interact.

As most of you know, Josh is the head zookeeper of a local animal sanctuary called Dade City's Wild Things.  They have 170 different animals including lions, bears, bush babies, exotic birds of all kinds and more.  They also provide a once in a life time opportunity to encounter some of these animals up close and personal.
Isn't he precious?
I loved playing with the tiger cubs!
Up close and personal
Dade City's Wild Things is a non profit organization so they depend on donations to help feed and take care of the animals they house.  Each animal is guaranteed a home for life and the best of care.  Some of the animals were abandoned by owners that didn't realize how much care they required, others were hurt in someway and needed rehabilitation.  If you're interested in helping this incredible organization you can visit their website.

  1. I am so jealous of you being able to play with tiger cubs! We fed giraffes and rhinos at the San Diego Wild Animal Park a month ago and I loved it. Thanks for sharing those great pictures, your husband has a dream job!
