Chicken Soup for the Soul : Just for Preteens

Growing up can be very difficult for preteens and teens, especially with all of the stressors they face today.  First loves and losses, peer pressure, school and others can make older children feel very confused, alone, even angry.  Most preteens and teens feel like they can't talk to their parents and most of their friends won't give them the right advice.  So what is a parent to do?

When I was a preteen and going through a lot of stress my parents purchased my first copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul.  That book helped me so much that I read it every time I felt upset.  The stories of hope and overcoming obstacles really helped me put things into perspective.  Now Chicken Soup for the Soul has book specifically for Preteens and Teens to help them see their not alone in their struggles.

More information on Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens
According to their site, "Being a Preteen is harder than it looks!  School is more challanging, bodies are changing, relationships with parents are different, and new issues arise with friends.  But preteens can find encouragment and inspiration in this collection of stories by other preteens, just like them, about the problems and issues they face every day. 'Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens' will help readers as they navigate those tough preteen years from 9-12 with stories from others just like them about the highs and lows of life as a preteen.  It's a support group they can carry in their backpacks!"

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens is an incredible book filled with inspiring stories everyone can relate to.  From losing your first love to dealing with troubles at home, this book will show your preteen their not alone in their struggles.  This is also very informative for parents to read through.  It explains some of the problems preteens are facing today, problems that you may or may not have faced yourself when you were younger.  Ashton is only 6 but he's getting closer and closer to becoming a preteen every day, so I'm glad I have this around if he ever needs it.  I highly recommend Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens and all of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.

  4. I was never in the right fashion trend at the right time. My mom made all of my clothes and I had no "cool" clothes that the other girls had because we had no money. By the time I finally got something, the fashion trend had taken a turn and I was always 3 steps behind.
