Chef Boyardee - A family staple - A Review

Who hasn't tried a delicious bowl of Chef Boyardee at some point in their lives?  Not only is it delicious but with their new recipes you can make several different delicious meals the whole family will enjoy!

My family decided to try out the delicious Cheeseburgerroni.  I admit it had been a while since I've had Chef Boyardee but the memories came flooding back after the first bite! Even Ashton, who is a very picky eater, had seconds!  I love Chef Boyardee, just like my mother did, not just for it's great taste but also because it's wholesome, with a full serving of vegetables in every can!

What parent hasn't scrambled at the last minute to try and put something together for dinner?  You have children whining in the background about how their "starving".  You've got to come up with something fast before they wither away!  Luckily, Chef Boyardee has come up with "Almost Homemade" yummy meals the whole family will love and you can prepare each very easily and in 30 minutes or less.  That leaves you with more time to enjoy each other at the dinner table.

My family and I loved our Cheeseburgerroni dinner and we were even able to save some for the next day, for Josh to take to lunch with him.  I will definitely be making this again, in the near future, and try out the other scrumptious recipes they have on their website!  If this one was a hit, I'm sure the others will be just as delicious!

If you're looking for something quick, filling and wholesome to feed your family for dinner, check out the Chef Boyardee website for "Almost Homemade" dinner ideas!

1. Preheat broiler.  Spray a 10-inch oven safe skillet with cooking spray and set on medium-high heat.
2. Add beefaroni, drained tomatoes, ketchup, pickle, & mustard to the skillet.  Heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Top with cheese.  Light spray torn bun with cooking spray and place on top of cheese.  Place your skillet on the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until bun pieces are crisp and browned.

Cooking Tips
No hamburger bun on hand for the topping? Two slices of bread may be substituted. And dill pickle relish could be substituted for the chopped dill pickle. The beefaroni mixture could be served in hamburger buns, topped with American cheese for 'cheeseburger joes'. Get the kids involved with preparation by letting them add ingredients to the skillet and help stir the dish. They also could tear up the hamburger bun. To help give your family even more of the good stuff they need, you can use Whole Grain Beefaroni instead of Regular Beefaroni
