Breast Cancer Awareness Rose Quartz Bracelets - Review & Giveaway!

Cancer, in one form or another, effects all of us, whether it's a family member or a friend or even an aquaintance, we all know someone that has been diagnosed.  When it's someone you love and care about that diagnosis can feel like a million ton weight being dropped onto your heart.  I know, my father was diagnosed with Melanoma a few months back and although we were very lucky, others are not.  My father's diagnosis opened my eyes and made me realize how important support and love is to a person diagnosed with Cancer.  That's why I was honored to work with Cristal from Jordan Jefferies Collection, again, this time to show you the beautiful Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets a featured designer of hers hand makes.

More information on Original Designs Jewelry by Linda Constancio
Linda Constancio makes beautiful, handmade jewlery that are really more like works of art.  Each piece is made with precious stones and accents to bring out the natural beauty of the stone.  She has used many unique items to make jewelry as well, including an old stone from a customer's grandfather's bolo tie for a pendant.
According to her site, "When I was convinced Original Designs wasn't just a dream, but something that, if I worked hard at, could become a reality, I was thrilled and at the same time terrified."  Through my business, I am living the American Dream. Yeah! They say the first 2 years are the hardest and I am a believer in that.  But I have a talent I never realized I had.  After realizing that talent existed, I knew I had a lot to learn and I am learning everyday.  Fashion is constantly changing; however I want my one of a kind pieces to really make someone happy to wear it and to stand the test of time.  I enjoy staying on top of fashion and making sure that I'm always doing things current and fashionable."
Here are just a few of Linda's stunning wearable art!
Fair Maiden Set -$198

This beautiful bail is hand pottery with a wire wrap.  The artist signed the back of the piece.  The necklace is 20" long and she uses pretty pearls and adventurine beads to accent the gorgeous hand pottery piece.  This set also features stunning drop earrings made with 3 strands of silver chain and pearls.

Wholly Mammoth Fossil Tooth - not for sale

This incredible, unique necklace is made with an actual fossilized stone.  She worked with an artist who found this material and she also plans on working with him again.  Linda is always on the look out for new, interesting materials to work with and was thrilled to work with this.

Semi-Precious Stone Stretch Bracelet - $20

 My Review
Linda sent me a gorgeous Breast Cancer Awareness bracelet to review.  I have worn it several places since then and have gotten many compliments on how beautiful the bracelet is.  The bracelet is made with Rose Quartz, which are believed to be the "healing stone".  "Articles say that rose quartz strengthen and balances the physical heart and circulatory system and releases impurities from body fluids.  Rose Quartz also hastens recovery, reduces high blood pressure, aids chest and lung problems, heals the kidneys and adrenals and even allieviates vertigo.  It also has the power to increase fertility and protect both the mother and child in her womb from miscarriage."
This and other gorgeous Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets are $20 each.  As the rest of her work, these bracelets are handmade.  I would highly recommended purchasing one of these bracelets for anyone that has been touched by Breast Cancer.
Pros: Beautiful, handmade, wearable, work of art that you will be able to cherish for years to come.  Made with precious stones and a sterling silver Breast Cancer Ribbon pendant.
Cons: The bracelets and other jewelry are a bit expensive for some but please remember the precious stone beads that make up this jewlery is extremely expensive as well as the time Linda puts into each piece.  I used to make jewelry myself, so I know how time consuming and expensive the hobby can be!
Shopaholic Rating: 4 of out 5 shopping bags - This bracelet is gorgeous and very touching as well.
