Monimay Review and Giveaway

I don't dye my hair very often, in fact the last time I dyed my hair was the first time since I was in high school!  I usually have trouble finding the right color and the time to color my hair at home and forget about finding the money to have a professional color my hair at a salon!  The worst part about dying your hair is when your hair starts to grow out, your roots start to show and depending on the color, it can start to look a little tacky, am I right?  Unlike the commercials I've seen in the past, you won't catch me at 7 am re-dying my roots, I don't care if it only takes 10 minutes or not!  I'm too busy and too tired to deal with all of those chemicals that early in the morning!   Thank Goodness I found Monimay and their amazing products!  Not only have their amazing products saved me from plenty of bad hair color days but they also protect my hair from the sun!  Wanna learn more?  Read on!

What is Monimay?
According to their site, " Founder, Monica May Sanders is an expert hair colorist with over 15 years of experience and a recipient of many professional accolades.  She has been recognized in Vogue, Seventeen and Cut & Style and She was selected as Best of Phoenix Colorist by New Times Magazine."
She came up with this idea after two questions were being repeatedly asked by her clientele.  "What can I do for my oily scalp to prolong my hairstyles?" She recommended to use talcum powder to make hair look cleaner and actually used the trick on herself routinely with much success.  But, with darker hair, the talcum powder dulled the color and the health and safety of talcum was a big concern (an excessive exposure to Talc can cause lung cancer).  Over time she decided it would be a great idea to come up with a color enhancing powder that could be applied with a simple applicator brush.  The second question asked repeatedly was, "What can I do to cover my new hair roots in between colorings?"  Monica realized if she expanded the range of colors, the product would also blend hair root as well as absorb oil!  The innovative Sun Shadz and and Hair Shadz was created and enhanced to include protection for the scalp against harmful UVA and UVB rays.  It's safe and will benefit use for men, women and children alike.  Sun Shadz even has a translucent shade great for  children!  Monimay is the only place you'll find Sun Shadz and Hair Shadz.
My Review
I have never used anything like Hair Shadz before, so this is very exciting!  Hair Shadz and Sun Shadz, as I was saying before, are a 3-in-1 product.  This amazing product is a dry shampoo, a sun protectant and a root color touch-up all in one, it's amazing.  It's very easy to use, with three different settings you can adjust how much powder you'd like to use as well as the perfect application brush for the job!  The great thing about this unique product is that they are 100% natural!  Can you believe it?  These products are formulated with micronized minerals that are light and leave the hair feeling soft and touchable.  Hair Shadz and Sun Shadz have even been approved for use by Dermatologists.  Monica, the founder of Monimay was generous enough to send me a Hair Shadz to try for myself.  I received the Hair Shadz in the Medium Warm Brown (Marsha) Color.  Each color is named after the Mothers, Grandmothers and Daughters that helped create this exceptional product and I thought that was such a great idea!  I was so excited about trying this new product out that as soon as I got it in the mail, brought it inside and managed to get into the packaging I immediately tested the product out.  The first thing I did was test it on my roots, I colored my hair a few weeks back and my roots were starting to show.  I very easily brushed a little Hair Shadz down the middle of my head and the difference was incredible.  Not only did my hair look just like it did a few weeks ago when I first dyed it but it also got rid of the nasty left over oils that were left in my hair from the the day before.  My hair went from "bleh" to "wow!" in just a few minutes!  I have used this product now as often as I can remember and I have noticed a huge difference, my hair is so much softer and it doesn't seem as dried out by the strong Florida sun. My roots usually dry out pretty quickly during the spring and summer months but since I've been applying the Hair Shadz they've been staying soft and manageable.  This product is great for busy moms like myself who miss an opportunity to wash our hair everyday because of our busy schedules.  I know by the end of the day, sometimes I'm so exhausted I can't muster up enough energy to jump in the shower to wash my hair.  Hair Shadz was just what I needed the next morning to make my hair look fresh and ready for the new day!  Sorry I don't have any pictures of myself for this review, my camera is in the process of being fixed now and should be ready in a few days!

Pros:  This product is so versatile and perfect for men, women and children!  If you purchase a lighter color it also works great on your face to cover up shiny spots!(Thanks Kim for the tip!)  This product is very affordable and 100% natural!
Cons:  If you have a dark hair color, be careful when applying powder as it may get on your clothing.  I would recommend putting a towel around your shoulder to prevent getting any on your shirt.  Although I had no problem washing it out of my clothing.  The powder also seemed to color my scalp a little, but that was no big deal as it wore off after a few minutes.

  36. Undeniably believe that that you stated. Your favourite justification seemed to be at the web the easiest factor to
consider of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed at
the same time as folks consider issues that they just do
not recognise about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the entire
thing without having side-effects , other folks could take a signal.
Will probably be again to get more. Thank you
